The Town of Smyrna is proud to announce the return of the Summer Concert Series in George C. Wright Municipal Park.
Bring a blanket and enjoy great live entertainment from 6-8pm. Gable Music Ventures is programming the entertainment with concerts happening every other Wednesday through early August. Stay tuned for additional artist announcements in the coming days.
The series kicks off with Too Tall Slim & the Guilty Pleasures! Founded more than 10 years ago, Too Tall Slim & the Guilty Pleasures draws inspiration from music that was popular in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Consider roots/blues-based artists such as the Allman Brothers Band, Steely Dan, the Grateful Dead, Taj Mahal and Willie Dixon. The four-piece band includes more than a dozen original tunes in 10 different sets, which rotate so that fans get a fresh performance each time. The original songs, which mesh with the cover tunes, have been so well received that the band often opens a set or even the entire show with them to jumpstart the enthusiasm.
